A NEW BEGINNING. . .

Welcome to the web site of Buster’s Angels Rescue!  Celebrating the “new
beginnings” of all the little dogs in our rescue could not be complete without taking
a moment to remember Buster, the wonderful little guy who was and remains the
inspiration behind all we do.

Buster's story began in 1996 when his whole 5-week-old litter was dropped in a
dumpster.  Some kind soul heard their puppy whimpers, rescued them and took them
to a shelter in Houston where my son fell in love with Buster.  Buster, however, had
other plans!  He formed an instant bond with me, and through my son's kind heart,
was given to me as what turned out to be the best gift I have ever received.

Buster and I were inseparable and he garnished a reputation in my office (where
dogs were not allowed), on my vacations, in stores and outdoor restaurants, as my
constant and most welcome companion.  He recognized the sound of my car coming
home from work and was always the first at the door to greet me.

When he was almost 9-years-old, he was diagnosed with cancer.  He went faithfully
to his treatment center until nothing more could be done for him and he died in my
arms on January 30, 2005.

This rescue is dedicated to preserving the memory of the most loyal and wonderful
friend I have ever had, or ever will have.  Buster and I thank you for looking at our
web site and adding to the honor of his memory.

What is the color purple?

Purple is the color of good judgment. It is the color of people seeking spiritual
fulfillment. It is said if you surround yourself with purple you will have peace of
mind. Purple has been used to symbolize magic and mystery, as well as royalty.

The color purple was chosen for our site for many reasons.

- The above quotation tells us that purple inspires good judgment.  Our rescue
strives beyond all else to exercise judgment when finding the “perfect” home for a
dog.  Our goal is not to adopt out dogs; rather it is to develop a relationship with
those seeking to adopt which allows us find the correct home for each of our dogs.
Most of these little ones have been through more in their lives than we care to
imagine.  It is our responsibility to ensure they have a great forever home for the
rest of their lives.  They deserve to be treated like the “royalty” or expression of
God which they truly are.

-Purple is the color of spiritual fulfillment.  Is there a better way to grow
spiritually than to become like a dog — present and alert, and accepting in each
moment?   Is this not “living life to its fullest”?   Learn to live fully in the present
moment and watch the magic of life appear before you.
